How far in advance should I book? What deposit and balance schedule apply?

Yachts are small, demand is high. To secure your preferred dates and yacht, we suggest reserving 9 to 18 months in advance. This is especially important for travel during peak seasons. Our standard payment schedule is a 30% deposit to secure your booking upon signing the contract, with the remaining 70% balance due, depending on the cruiseline between 120 and 60 days prior to your embarkation date.

2

What payment methods do you accept?

We primarily accept payment via bank wire transfer for its security and traceability. For your convenience, we can also accept major credit cards (Visa and MasterCard), though these may be subject to processing fees or amount limits

3

Can you hold a cabin or a yacht while I decide? For how long?

Yes, we can often place a temporary hold on a cabin or a full yacht for you. This hold typically lasts between 24 to 72 hours, giving you a short period to finalize your decision. Please note that this is a courtesy hold and will be released on time expiry. Only after we receive your signed contract and deposit your booking will officially be confirmed.

4

Are children allowed? Any age restrictions? Are pets allowed?

Our partners welcome children aboard and we are happy to help you plan a family-friendly yachting experience or family charter. Please note that parents or guardians are solely responsible for their children's supervision and safety at all times. Most yachting companies require infants to have a minimum age of 6 months to 1 year to board the ship depending on the itinerary. Regarding pets, we can request approval for service animals on a case-by-case basis, which may be subject to an additional charge.

5

What are the peak/shoulder seasons for my destination?

Yes, our charters operate with seasonal pricing, defined as High, Shoulder, and Low seasons for each destination based on the local climate, holiday season and demand. Simply talk to us, and we'll be happy to advise on the best season for you based on your preferred destination and priorities.

6

Will I pay VAT/sales tax and how is it calculated (embarkation country; local cruising taxes)?

V.A.T. is an additional fee. Our rates will always show the price including V.A.T. and port charges, providing you with a complete pricing. In case local authorities impose tourist taxes or other additional charges need to be taken in account, we will inform you accordingly to our best knowledge.

7

Who sets the itinerary? Can the captain change plans for weather/safety?

Depending on your request to join a cruise or charter a full yacht, we will search for an itinerary that caters best to your wishes. The yachting company reserves the right to change the itinerary beforehand. The Captain may need to adjust the sailing route for safety reasons due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

8

Is there a refundable security deposit? How much? Any damage-waiver options?

Yes, a security deposit is required for most cruises & charters. This is typically handled as a pre-authorization on your credit card at the beginning of the journey to cover any incidental damage. The full amount, less any applicable charges, will be released after a post-cabin / yacht inspection.

9

Do you recommend taking an insurance with my local insurance agent?

We strongly recommend that all guests secure comprehensive travel insurance. Your policy should cover trip cancellation and medical emergencies. It is important to always check the full amount is covered.

10

Is tipping required? What’s the typical range?

Tipping is discretionary but customary. Depending on the company, tips can be prepaid. If not, we will provide you with the guidelines of the company of your choice. Of course, tips are always based on your satisfaction with the service.

11

What are the cabins like (ensuite/AC)? Soft luggage vs hard suitcases? Is Wi-Fi reliable? What water toys are included?

The yachts we offer vary in size and layout. Standard amenities on most modern ships include air-conditioning, ensuite cabins, WiFi (with charge), and a range of water toys (of which some with surcharge), which will be specified for each vessel. Most yachting companies do not limit the weight and size of your luggage but keep in mind the restrictions from the airline you are travelling with.

12

What time is embarkation/disembarkation? What happens during the safety briefing and technical checkout?

Embarkation typically starts after 1PM on day one, and disembarkation is by 9 AM on the final day. A mandatory safety briefing will be conducted at the start of your yachting journey.

13

Is fuel included? If not, how is it charged after the trip?

When you join a pre-organized cruise, all cruisefares we offer are including port- & fueltaxes (excluding motorized watersports). For charters you will receive a fare with a proposal for an Advance Provisioning Allowance that includes a basic covering for operational costs such as fuel, port fees, and tender fuel (unless otherwise specified). This is an upfront fund that is used to cover these expenses in advance. Depending on the itinerary changes, weather conditions, usage of tender & motorized watersports, etc. there could be a surcharge to be paid at the end of the trip. A detailed reconciliation is provided at the end of your charter. In case there is any remaining balance, this will also promptly be refunded.

14

What’s included (meals, drinks, activities) and what’s extra? Are cabins ensuite?

Every company has there own fare structure. You will find all details in your quotation to ensure you have a nice overview of the included and non-included services.

15

Who are my fellow guests? What’s the typical group size? Can I book solo?

We offer two main booking styles to suit your needs: Join a cruise individually, where you will sail with other likeminded travellers and thus share the yacht with other guests, or opt for an Exclusive Charter, where you book the entire yacht for your private group. Please note that solo traveler availability is more limited and depends on the specific choice of company, destination, availability, etc.

16

Can dietary requirements be accommodated?

Yes, absolutely. The yacht chefs are skilled at accommodating dietary requirements and allergies. We can cater to your wishes of religious dietary requests, ethical or lifestyle dietary choices or medical or health-related restrictions. To ensure the best possible service, we simply ask that you provide these details in advance (at time of quotation) so we can coordinate with the cruise company of your choice.
